We are a group who discuss subjects of our choice in a competitive and considered way, within the discipline of a formal debate.

We meet 2-4pm on the fourth Thursday of the month from September through to May. Meetings are held in the Snug Bar of the Robin Hood and Little John Pub, opposite Arnold Library.

It is said that the most popular speaker is the one who sits down before s/he stands up, but if you are the type who can’t have a conversation on the phone without getting into a seminar on the meaning of life, or if you have found yourself spending an hour having a chat with a friend for five minutes, this is the group for you.

N.B. Arnold U3A also has a separate ‘Discussion’ group. For further information, click here.
