Our main aims are to learn how to:

  • take better photos;
  • use software to improve digital images;
  • explore camera and related equipment techniques.

Here are a few examples of our photos before and after improvement.

Since the group’s first meeting in January 2011, we have all grown in confidence with our pictorial efforts. The benefits of working together have been real. With an overhead projector, we can see the results of our laptop efforts on the screen. One member comments:“[The leader] conducts the gatherings, large or small, in a relaxed, friendly manner. There is no pressure, and we all progress at our own pace.”

We welcome new members – 7.00 to 9.00 pm every third Tuesday of the month, in the large and comfortable Meeting Room of Arnold Library (entry after 7.00 through the Leisure Centre entrance). Free car parking after 6.00 pm. Subs usually £2.50 per meeting. You’ll soon be taking better photographs!
