Birdwatching with a walk

We meet on the third Monday of the month, alternating between a more local morning session and a longer session for venues slightly further way. The programme for 2018 has been agreed. There is an expectation of managing approximately a 3-4 mile walk, trying to avoid stiles and steep hills. We try to pick venues where there is a toilet near the beginning or end of the route!

The group leader is no expert in birdwatching, but several of the group are quite experienced and between us we hope to be able to identify what we see and/or hear!

There is a U3A scope, which the other birdwatching group uses and can be hired on a personal basis at £2 per session, but it must be returned in time for the birdwatching groups’ use.

Group members share their contact details to try and maximise opportunities for car sharing. There is an assumption of attendance unless you have informed the group leader otherwise.

It is hoped members of this group will also enjoy a drink/lunch together.
